…He studied under Motoori Ohira together with his father, Iida Hideo, and after his death, he studied under Kano Morohira and Tomo Nobutomo. He excelled in poetry, and together with Morohira and Ishikawa Yorihira, he was known as the poet Sanpei, and was also skilled in writing in the norito style. He was appointed to the National Studies Department of the Tottori Domain, and was involved in compiling the Hoki-shi.
