Kazan Tatars

Japanese: カザン・タタール - かざんたたーる
Kazan Tatars

...In the 15th and 16th centuries, when the Golden Horde was dissolved, several Tatar states were born in southern Russia and Siberia, including Kazan, Astrakhan, Crimea, and Siberia, and different Tatar ethnic groups also emerged. Among these, the Kazan Khanate was a state that came to rule the region and its inhabitants in the first half of the 15th century, replacing the Bulgar state of the Volga Kama. Within its territory, the Kazan Tatars were the center, and other ethnic groups such as Bashkirs, Chuvash, Mari, Moldovans, and Udmurts were derived. In 1552, Ivan IV (the Terrible) of Russia occupied Kazan, and in 1558, he annexed the entire Kazan Khanate, and these tribes were incorporated under the control of the Russian Empire.
