Bulky spun yarn

... refers to bulky yarns made by utilizing the thermoplasticity of synthetic fibers, and are classified as bulky spun yarns and bulky processed filament yarns. There are the following methods of bulky processing to produce bulky yarns. Bulky spun yarns are made by blending short fibers made from thermally stretched and unstretched fibers before cutting into short fibers to produce spun yarns, which are then treated with hot water or steam. Only the thermally stretched fibers shrink, causing the unstretched fibers to rise, resulting in a bulky yarn.
