〘 noun 〙 (also "kakegoi") The act of requesting payment for credit sales. Also, the person or person who collects payment. Season: Winter *Haiku poem, Osaka Dokuginshu (1675), Vol. 1 "The dew before O-bon on my head, the autumn when begging is in full swing, (Saikaku)" *Fuzoku Gaho, No. 255 (1902), Jinjimon "On the 13th of the same month, (omitted), the town was extremely crowded with the frequent comings and goings of begging people (kakegohi) ."
