A battery that converts chemical energy into electrical energy by using spontaneous chemical reactions. Two metal electrodes A and B are placed in an electrolyte solution S, and many are configured in the form of A|S|B or A|S 1 |S 2 |B. There is a liquid junction potential difference at the interface between S 1 and S 2 , which affects the electromotive force of the battery. There are also air batteries, which react with gas at the electrodes. Source: Encyclopaedia Britannica Concise Encyclopedia About Encyclopaedia Britannica Concise Encyclopedia Information |
自発的に起る化学変化を利用して化学エネルギーを電気エネルギーに変える電池。電解質溶液S の中に2つの金属電極A ,Bを入れ,A|S|B または A|S1|S2|B の形に組合せて構成したものが多い。 S1|S2 の境界面では液間電位差があり,電池の起電力に影響を与える。また空気電池など気体を電極で反応させるものもある。
