〘 noun 〙 A general term for novels, plays, joruri, kodan, rakugo, etc., that have ghost stories as their theme. ※Before Dawn (1932-35) by Shimazaki Toson, Part 1: "When I look at stories about defeating enemies and ghost stories, the books are smaller in size and the paper is of poor quality than ever before."
