Date of birth and death unknown. A Greek architect active in Athens in the 5th century BC. He was initially involved in the construction of the ramparts connecting Athens and Piraeus, as well as the repair of the Acropolis walls. During the Pericles era, he assisted Ictinos in the construction of the Parthenon (temple), and later designed the Temple of Athena Nike.
