Olog - Olog

...About 5,000 people live in Bontoc, the provincial capital, and the rest of the country live in villages with an average population of about 1,000 people. Each village has a sacred tree forest, a stone-built meeting hall called an atato, and a girls' lodge called an olog, and is a political, ceremonial, and geographical unit. The meeting hall is a place of lodging for unmarried and middle-aged men, and was once the unit where headhunting, declarations of war, and peace negotiations were held.
