Oyun Hawa - Oyun Hawa

...The former are songs with free rhythm, wide range of descending melodic lines and rich ornamentation, such as songs generally called bozlak and elegies for the dead called âğıt. The latter are syllabic songs with clear meter, relatively narrow range, and few ornaments or melismas, such as oyun hava (dance songs). The melodies are mainly based on a seven-tone scale, but also include augmented second intervals and intervals narrower than a semitone.
