Mother - Omora
〘Noun〙 A woman who served at Ise Shrine in the past. She was placed as an assistant or substitute for Kora, who was engaged in preparing offerings and performing Kagura dances, when there was a problem. ※Kotai Ise Shrine Annual Events (1192) June "Among the rice and other things being carried out in various places, one person was carrying out a service at the Iyaden Palace. Omono Iki Kora, a daughter of Arakida, served first, and her mother was also present."
