〘Noun〙 Pottery that Nonomura Ninsei began firing around the time of Shoho ( 1644-48 ) in front of the Ninnaji Temple in Kyoto. It ceased production in the early years of the Genroku era (around 1688 ), but its elegant and refined style became a model for Kyoto ware. Ninsei ware.
