Ofuregoto - Notice

…A form of law enacted by the shogunate in the Edo period. It was called "Gosatsu", "Gosatsugaki" or "Gosatsuji". Shogunate laws were usually issued in the form of "Gosatsugaki" or "Tatsushi", with "Gosatsugaki" being used when announcing information to the general public and "Tatsushi" being used when notifying only the relevant government agencies or people concerned.
