...The culture was named after the tombs first discovered in Glazkovo Bay, on the outskirts of Irkutsk, at the mouth of the Irkut River, a tributary of the Angara River. Excavations were first started by NIVitkovskii in 1887, followed by MPO Vchinnikov, and then AP Okladnikov in 1934-39. The culture was dated to 1800-1300 BC. It is characterized by the appearance of metal tools, first made of copper and later of bronze. ...
