Today's yachts can be roughly divided into seven categories: sailing dinghy, racing keelboat, racing multihull, cruiser, offshore racer, motor sailor, and motor yacht. (1) Sailing dinghy: 3-7m long (mostly 4-6m), light hull with centerboard.
