A fixed exercise playground equipment for infants and children. It is a playground equipment that allows children to enjoy the movement of sliding down a slope, and helps develop a sense of speed, height, and balance. Children like to climb and slide down various slopes in natural environments, but slides can be considered artificially created slopes. They were first manufactured in America around 1880 and imported to Japan at the end of the Meiji period. Generally, they are 2 to 2.5 meters high, with a running surface about 4 meters long, and have one surface (single-sided), but there are also compound types with two running surfaces and ones with a spiral running surface.
