In the sixth year of the Kyoho era, he was given forest land in Hirano Village, Miike County, and began mining coal, opening the Hiranoyama Pit. The mine came under government management in the sixth year of the Meiji era, and later became the Mitsui Miike Coal Mine. He died on October 5, the fourth year of the Horeki era. He was 72 years old. His real surname was Tachibana. His childhood name was Totsugi Gonjiro. He was commonly known as Tasuke, Oribe, and Wakasa. His pen name was Takeoken.
