...Under the direction of a leader called the "Taaru-ji," a decorated ox rakes the rice paddies with a special technique, and many young women sing many rice-planting songs arranged religiously, while the people of the fields play musical instruments such as waist drums, flutes, sasara, and kane. During the procession, deified women called "Hiruma-mochi" or "Onari" bring lunch and are entertained by the rice-planting god.
