...The various words and actions of the relatives surrounding the two young people also show the distinctive features of a sewamono (traditional Japanese drama). The first dramatization was the kabuki play Shinjuyu Kimon Kado at the Ogino Yaegiri Theater in Osaka in the same month, then it spread to the general public through Kasaibun, and eventually the standard form was established with Ki Kaion's joruri Osome Hisamatsu Sode no Shiroshibori (before April of the same year, at the Osaka Toyotake Theater). Since then, various works have been repeatedly performed in puppet theater, such as Somemoyo Imoseno Kadomatsu and Shinban Kasaibun, and in kabuki, Osome Hisamatsu Shinju, Osome Hisamatsu Ukina no Yomuri, and Kore wa Hiyoban Ukina Yomuri.
