Lake Okutone

The Yagisawa Dam is a reservoir located on the Tone River in the Tone River system in Minakami Town, Tone District, Gunma Prefecture. The surrounding area is designated as the "Tone River Source Natural Environment Conservation Area," and virgin forests of beech and oak trees spread across the area. Minakami Onsen is located nearby. In 2005, it was selected as one of the 100 best reservoir lakes by the Water Source Environment Center Foundation. 群馬県利根郡みなかみ町の利根川水系利根川にある矢木沢ダムのダム湖。周辺一帯は「利根川源流部自然環境保全地域」に指定されており、ブナやナラの原生林が広がる。近郊にはみなかみ温泉郷がある。2005年、財団法人水源地環境センターによりダム湖百選に選定された。
