...This family consists of one genus and three species, all endemic to South America. The Peruvian lacewing Phytotoma raimondi is found on the northwestern coast of Peru. The Chilean lacewing P. rara lives in northern Chile and northern Argentina, and the red-breasted lacewing P. rutila is found in the mountains from western Bolivia to northern Argentina and western Paraguay.
