An old town in Soraku County, at the southern end of Kyoto Prefecture. The main settlement is in the Kizu River basin, and the Kansai Main Line runs through it. It produces rice, tea, shiitake mushrooms, and flowers. It is located in the Kunikyo construction area, and is home to the ruins of Yamashiro Kokubunji Temple (historic site), Gansen Temple, and Joruri Temple. In March 2007, Soraku County's Kizu Town and Yamashiro Town merged to form Kizugawa City. 36.97 km2 . Population 15,607 (2005).

A former town in Tomata County in northern Okayama Prefecture. Most of the area is mountainous, with the main settlements being Konakabara in the Kamo River basin, a tributary of the Yoshii River, and Kuwabara along the Inbi Line. The town produces timber and cattle. It was once a prolific producer of iron sand. In February 2005, it was incorporated into Tsuyama City along with Katsukita Town in Katsuta County, Kume Town in Kume County, and Awa Village in Tomata County. 159.27 km2 . 5,529 people (2003).

Kamo [town] [Kamo]

A former town in Ohara District, eastern Shimane Prefecture. The Kisuki Line runs through it. It is located in the Aka River basin, a tributary of the Hii River. In addition to rice, grapes and other fruits are cultivated, as well as tea. In November 2004, it merged with Daito Town and Kisuki Town in Ohara District, Mitoya Town and Kakeya Town in Iishi District, and Yoshida Village to become Unnan City. 30.91 km2 . 6,806 people (2003).

岡山県北部,苫田(とまた)郡の旧町。大半が山地で,主集落は吉井川の支流加茂川流域の集落小中原(こなかばら)と因美線に沿う桑原。木材と牛の生産を行う。かつて砂鉄を多産した。2005年2月勝田郡勝北町,久米郡久米町,苫田郡阿波村と津山市へ編入。159.27km2。5529人(2003)。

加茂[町]【かも】

島根県東部,大原郡の旧町。木次(きすき)線が通じる。斐伊(ひい)川の支流赤川流域に位置する。米作を行うほか,ブドウなどの果樹,茶を栽培する。2004年11月大原郡大東町,木次町,飯石郡三刀屋町,掛合町,吉田村と合併し市制,雲南市となる。30.91km2。6806人(2003)。
