...In response to this, the German L. Klages established graphology based on a unique philosophical theory that behavior is a manifestation of the inner mind and that it is important to understand handwriting as a whole. The Swiss Max Pulver (1889-1952) also developed a graphology theory that incorporated psychoanalysis. The personality diagnosis by E. Kraepelin and E. Kretschmer using a pen pressure meter is one such example.
