Born on February 23, 1887. Older brother of Okamoto Kanoko. At Tokyo Prefectural First Middle School, he influenced his classmate Tanizaki Junichiro. In 1906, he joined Shinshisha and published novels such as "Osuma." In 1912, he participated in the launch of the second edition of "Shinshicho." He died on November 2, 1912. He was 26 years old. His translation of Turgenev's "Smoke" was published posthumously. He was from Kanagawa Prefecture. He graduated from Tokyo Imperial University. His real name was Yukinosuke.
