... The Magnificent Frigatebird Fregata magnificens is the largest of the species, with a wingspan of up to 2.4m. The Great Frigatebird F. minor (illustration) and the Lesser Frigatebird F. ariel occasionally migrate to the waters off Japan, carried by summer monsoons and typhoons. Most of the birds are young.
