Born in 1606. The eldest son of Okubo Tadatsune. In 1613, he became the second head of the Okubo clan to rule the Musashi Kisaichi Domain (Saitama Prefecture). After serving in the Mino Kano Domain and the Harima Akashi Domain, in 1655, he became the first head of the Okubo clan to rule the Hizen Karatsu Domain (Saga Prefecture).
