Great-grey kangaroo

An animal of the Marsupial order of the Mammalia class, family Kangarooidae. Also known as the grey kangaroo. It is found in Australia and Tasmania. It is one of the largest animals in the family, with a head and body length of 1.1 to 1.5 meters, males nearly twice as large as females, and weigh up to 80 kilograms. Its body color varies widely, from gray-brown to reddish brown to brown. It lives in groups in the forests of the plains, and its staple food is grass.

Japanese:

哺乳(ほにゅう)綱有袋目カンガルー科の動物。別名ハイイロカンガルー。オーストラリアとタスマニア島に分布する。同科のなかでもっとも大きいものの一つで、頭胴長1.1~1.5メートル、雄は雌の2倍近くあり、体重80キログラムに達する。体色は灰褐色、赤褐色、褐色と変化に富んでいる。平原の森林に群れで生活し、主食は草である。
