Oizumi Movie - Oizumi

...these are Shochiku's Ofuna, Shimokamo, and Uzumasa studios, Toho's Kinuta, Daiei's Tamagawa (formerly Nikkatsu), Oizumi (formerly Shinko), and Uzumasa (formerly Nikkatsu and Shinko). Of these, Daiei's (which changed its name from Dainihon Eiga Seisakusha to Daiei Co., Ltd. in 1945) Oizumi studio was sold to a munitions factory during the war and closed after the defeat, but in 1947 it became a rental studio called Taizumi Studio, and eventually became Taizumi Eiga and started film production. Daiei continued to produce films at its East and West studios in Tamagawa, Tokyo, and Uzumasa, Kyoto, leaving a major mark on postwar film history, but it went bankrupt in 1971, and the East and West studios were placed under the management of union members. The company was restarted as Daiei Eiga in 1974, and then the two studios were separated and became independent in 1977 as a result of rationalization.

…すなわち，松竹の大船および下加茂･太秦，東宝の砧，大映の多摩川(元日活)･大泉(元新興)および太秦(元日活と元新興)の各撮影所である。　このうち大映(1945年に大日本映画製作株式会社から大映株式会社に社名変更)の大泉撮影所は，戦時中に軍需工場に売却され，敗戦とともに閉鎖されていたが，1947年，貸しスタジオの太泉スタジオとなり，やがて太泉映画となって映画製作に乗り出した。大映は東京多摩川と京都太秦の東西撮影所で映画製作をつづけ，戦後映画史に大きな足跡を残したが，71年倒産し，東西撮影所は組合員管理下に置かれ，74年に会社が大映映画として再出発したのち，77年の合理化によって両撮影所は分離独立した。…
