《Oshu Satsuma》

...The names of the songs vary slightly depending on the school of the art, such as "Mitani Sugaki" in the Kinko school, "Mitani Seiran" in the Kinpu school, "Mitani no Kyoku" in the Myoan Shinpo school, and "Mitani Kyoku" in the Myoan Taizan school. In the schools of the art that simply call themselves "Mitani" (such as Sendai Futaiken, Echigo Myoanji, and Nishizono school), they are called by the name of the temple, such as "Hoteiken Mitani" or "Echigo Mitani." In addition, "Jinbo Mitani" and "Mitani Sugomori," arranged by Jinbo Masanosuke in the Meiji period, are also well known, and the former is called "Oshu Yusashi" in the Kyushu school. In addition to Mitani, characters such as Yamaya, Yamano, San'an, and Sayama are also used, and in the case of San'an, the meaning of a prayer for safe childbirth is also added.

…曲名も芸系により多少異なり，琴古流《三谷菅垣（すががき）》，錦風流《三谷清攬（せいらん）》，明暗真法（みようあんじんぽう）流《三谷ノ曲》，明暗対山流《三谷曲》などがあり，当該芸系で単に《三谷》と呼ぶもの(仙台布袋軒（ふたいけん），越後明暗寺，西園流など)については，《布袋軒三谷》《越後三谷》などと寺名などを冠して呼び分けられる。ほかに明治時代に神保（じんぼう）政之助が編曲した《神保三谷》《三谷巣籠（すごもり）》もよく知られ，前者は九州系では《奥州薩慈（おうしゆうさし）》と呼ばれる。文字遣いも三谷のほかに山谷，山野，産安，佐山などの字も当てられ，産安の場合には安産祈願の意味も付会されている。…
