Golden ratio

The ratio of a quadrilateral. 1:1+√5/2. Approximate value is 1:1.618. This rectangle is called the "golden rectangle." The origin of this idea dates back to the Pythagorean school in ancient Greece before Christ. The golden ratio has long been known in Europe as the most beautiful rectangle, and is used in the Venus de Milo at the Louvre Museum, the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the Parthenon temple in Greece, and other monuments. 四角形の比率のこと。1：1+√5/2。近似値は1：1.618。この長方形のことを「黄金長方形」という。この考え方の起源は、紀元前古代ギリシャのピタゴラス学派に端を発する。黄金比はヨーロッパでは古くから最も美しい長方形として親しまれ、ルーブル美術館に所蔵のミロのビーナス、パリの凱旋門、ギリシャの遺跡パルテノン神殿などにも、黄金比の比率が使われている。
