King of Cheers - Cheers

…A Chinese painter in the early Qing dynasty. Born in Loudong (Taicang, Jiangsu Province). His pen name was Xunzhi. His pen names were Yanke and Xilu Laoren. He was the grandson of Wang Xijue, the prime minister of the late Ming Dynasty, and the son of Wang Heng, the editor of Hanlin. He was called Wang Fengchang because he became a junior official of the Taichang Temple due to the achievements of his ancestors. After the fall of the Ming Dynasty, he retired to his hometown. He showed outstanding talent in both poetry and calligraphy, but was especially skilled in painting. He studied Southern School painting under Dong Qichang, and admired the style of the four great masters of the late Yuan Dynasty, especially Huang Gongwang. He often painted landscapes and played a leading role in the literati painting world in the early Qing Dynasty. …

…中国，清代初期の画家。婁東（ろうとう）(江蘇省太倉)の人。字は遜之（そんし）。号は烟客（えんかく），西廬老人ほか。明末の宰相王錫爵の孫，翰林編集王衡の子。父祖の功績により太常寺少卿となったので王奉常と呼ばれる。明滅亡後は故郷に隠退した。詩文，書ともに秀でた才を示したが，もっとも絵にすぐれた。董其昌（とうきしよう）に師事して南宗画（なんしゆうが）を学び，元末四大家ことに黄公望の画風を慕い，よく山水画を描き，清初の文人画壇の指導的役割を果たした。…
