Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre - Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre

...A membership-based organization that allows residents of Tokyo and the surrounding area to enjoy excellent art at a low cost. In 1946, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Board of Education established the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Theater Classroom as a part of social education. The following year, it became a membership-fee-based, self-financing cultural association, and in 1955, it became the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Foundation. It has five circles for theater, kabuki, modern theater, music, and film, and plays a major role in promoting the arts by planning and hosting independent performances in addition to holding regular meetings to watch various performing arts.
