A conference held in Ascona, Switzerland from 1933 to 1988. In English, it is called the Eranos Conference. It was founded by Olga Froebe-Kapteyn (1881-1962). Eranos is Greek for "feast" or "communal meal," and was named by R. Otto. Many thinkers, scholars, and artists gathered at the conference, aiming to promote dialogue between Eastern and Western thought, reevaluate esoteric traditions, bridge the gap between religion and science, and present a new view of humanity from the perspective of depth psychology and morphology. Jung, Eliade, Kerenyi, Benz, Corbin, Scholem, Reinhard, van der Leeuw, Puech, Neumann, Portman, and van der Post were particularly important. Four Japanese people also participated, including Suzuki Daisetsu and Izutsu Toshihiko. 57 volumes of lecture records, the Eranos Annual, remain. Furthermore, Kaiserling's "School of Wisdom" has many things in common with the conference.

1933年から1988年まで，スイスのアスコナで開かれた会議。英語ではEranos Conference。オルガ・フレーベ・カプテインOlga Froebe-Kapteyn〔1881-1962〕の創立になる。エラノスとはギリシア語で〈饗宴〉〈共食〉の意で，命名者はR.オットー。東西思想の対話，秘教的伝統の再評価，宗教と科学の架橋，深層心理学や形態学の見地からする新しい人間観の提示などを目指し，多くの思想家，学者，芸術家が集った。特にユング，エリアーデ，ケレーニイ，ベンツ，コルバン，ショーレム，ラインハルト，ファン・デル・レーウ，ピュエシュ，ノイマン，ポルトマン，バン・デル・ポストらが重要。日本からも鈴木大拙，井筒俊彦ほか計４名が参加している。講演記録《エラノス年報》57冊が残る。なお，カイザーリングの〈知恵の学園〉には同会議との共通点が多い。
