Enoshima Line - Enoshima

...A private railway with 121.6 km (1997) of railway lines stretching from Tokyo to Kanagawa Prefecture. In addition to the Odawara Line, which runs from Shinjuku to Odawara, there is the Enoshima Line between Sagami-Ono and Katase-Enoshima, the Tama Line between Shin-Yurigaoka and Karakida (all 1067 mm gauge), and the monorail line between Mukogaoka-Yuen and Mukogaoka-Yuen Main Gate. The Odawara Line and Enoshima Line were originally built by the Odawara Express Railway, which was founded in 1923, and merged with Tokyu Corporation in 1942, but was separated in 1948 to form the current Odakyu Electric Railway.
