Winter goby - Etsunenhaze

...Juvenile fish live in schools in shallow waters, but as the water temperature drops in autumn, they gradually move to deeper waters. They reach maturity in one year, and most die after spawning, but some survive for two or three years and are called hibernating gobies. They spawn from February to May, digging a Y-shaped spawning hole with two entrances in the sandy, muddy bottom.
