Ichinomiya, Echizen Province

...It is located in Akebono-cho, Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture. It enshrines seven deities: Izasawake, Tarashi-Nakatsuhiko (Emperor Chuai), Okinagatarashihime (Empress Jingu), Yamatotakeru, Hondawake (Emperor Ojin), Toyohime (possibly Empress Jingu's younger sister), and Takeuchi no Sukune. It was formerly a government-sponsored shrine. It was revered as the guardian deity of Tsuruga, a key location connecting the continent and Kyoto, and there is a story in the Nihon Shoki about Empress Jingu ordering Takeuchi no Sukune to worship Kehi no Okami along with Hondawake. ...
