〘Noun〙 One of the ten schools of Jodo Shinshu. During the Muromachi period, it refers to the three temples of Senshu-ji Temple in Omachi, Echizen Province, by Nyodo, who recited "Ogamasu no Himitsu", Seisho-ji Temple in Sabae, by his disciple Nyokaku, who helped him, and Shosei-ji Temple in Yokogoshi, by Dosho. These three temples cooperated with each other and had influence against the Hongan-ji and Takada Senshu-ji schools. Later, Nyodo's grandson, Joichi, moved the temple to Nakano and called it Sensho-ji Temple, but in the Meiji period it became an independent school and was called the Shinshu Sanmonto school.
