Japanese: 全郵政 - ぜんゆうせい
All Japan Post - Zenyusei
Its official name is the All Japan Post Workers Union. It is an affiliated union of the Confederation of Japan Post. Zenyusei was formed in 1965 as a merger between Zentokuteki (National Specified Post Office Workers Union) and Yusenro (Postal Workers Union). Zentokuteki was formed in 1951 in the Kyobashi district of Tokyo with the aim of improving the working conditions of employees at specified post offices, and then expanded nationwide with the addition of the eastern Tokyo district and other areas. On the other hand, Yusenro started out as an employee union at the Shinagawa branch of Tokyo, with the aim of democratizing the movement at ordinary post offices. In 1958, the All Japan Post Employees Union, which became a national organization, and the unions at Sumiyoshi Post Office and Nakano Post Office in Osaka merged to form Zenyuro (National Postal Workers Union), which was formed in 1959. Zenyuro and a group from the Nagoya branch and Osaka Central branch that had criticized Zentei and left the union merged in 1962 to form Yusenro.
