…According to the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, the ancestor of the Ta clan was Emperor Jimmu's son, Kamuyaimimi-no-mikoto. The Ta clan's Ta Shrine (Taza Mishirituhiko Shrine) was located in Otomi-go, Toichi-gun, Yamato Province (present-day Ta, Tawaramoto-cho, Ikoma-gun, Nara Prefecture), and it is believed that the Ta clan's main shrine was in this area. The Ta Shrine is a shrine listed in the Engishiki, and already had many kanbe (shrines) by the mid-Nara period, making it an influential shrine. …
