Kume song - Kume song

Japanese:
Kume song - Kume song
Also written as "Kumeuta". This refers to a total of eight poems, including five by the emperor, one by Michinoomi-no-Mikoto, and two by soldiers, which appear in the section on Emperor Jimmu in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki. Many of them end with the phrase "I will shoot and stop." They are believed to have originated from choruses and dances handed down to the Kume clan at drinking parties before battles, and it is believed that after submitting to the royal authority, songs and dances based on these were performed at court ceremonies to pledge loyalty. They were accompanied by music and dance and were called "Kumemai" and performed at court ceremonies and sechie (ceremonial events). They died out in the Middle Ages, and a version revived in the late early modern period is preserved in the Imperial Household Agency.
