…In 994 (Shoreki 5), an epidemic broke out throughout the country, so the god of plague was enshrined on Funaokayama and a Goryoe ceremony was held. Later, a shrine was built in Murasakino, and offerings were made every year on the 9th of the 5th month of the lunar calendar. This was called the Imamiya Festival. However, the Yasurai Festival, which is the festival of Eki Shrine in the grounds of Imamiya Shrine, is better known today. It is also called the Yasurai Flower Festival, and was held in the past on the 10th of the 3rd month of the lunar calendar, but is now held on the second Sunday of April. …
