The Asian Racing Conference was established in 1960 with the aim of promoting exchanges between countries and regions where horse racing is held. The Asian Horse Racing Federation (ARF) was established at the 28th conference in 2001, and the conference has since become its organizational conference.

ARC (AIDS-related complex)

AIDS-related complex : A syndrome related to AIDS. Symptoms such as general fatigue, fever, swollen lymph nodes, and weight loss appear after a long incubation period of 10 years or more after infection with the AIDS virus.

ARC [audio return channel]

Audio Return Channel is a standard for transmitting lossy compressed digital audio data from an HDMI terminal on a TV or other device to an audio device. Previously, a separate optical cable was required to transmit high quality audio data, but this standard makes it possible to transmit audio data over a single HDMI cable. Supports 5.1 channel surround sound, including Linear PCM, Dolby Digital, AAC, and DTS. → eARC

《audio return channel》テレビなどのHDMI端子からオーディオ機器へ、デジタル方式の非可逆圧縮の音声データを伝送する規格。従来、高品質の音声データを伝送するため、別の光ケーブルを使用する必要があったが、1本のHDMIケーブルで伝送できるようにしたもの。リニアPCM・ドルビーデジタル・AAC・DTSなど、5.1チャンネルサラウンドに対応。→イー‐エー‐アール‐シー（eARC）
