《嫐》 - roar

...The practice of the second wife (Uwanari), in which a divorced first wife gathers women from relatives and acquaintances to burst into the house of her second wife (Uwanari), continued until the early Edo period. Although the name is the same, the Kabuki and Ningyo-Joruri plays "Uwanarimono" are not direct adaptations of this play, but refer mainly to a style of performance depicting the jealousy of vengeful spirits. In Kabuki, the first performance of this style was in March 1699 (Genroku 12) at the Edo Nakamuraza Theater in "Isshin Gokaitama," which is said to have been the premiere of the Kabuki Juhachiban "Uwanari," but this is merely the oldest record of a role of this style being played by the Ichikawa Danjūrō ​​family....
