...Some of the latter are said to have guarded the tomb of Genghis Khan and his descendants, who were buried on Mount Burhan (a mountain in the Hentei Mountains). Another part of them was given a fief in the upper reaches of the Tao'er River in northeastern China, and their descendants were conquered by the Ming Dynasty in 1389 (Hongwu 22) and became the Duyan Wei, one of the three Wei of the Uliangha. The Duyan Wei, along with the other two Wei, moved south to the Great Wall in the early 15th century and invaded the Ming with the Mongols, but were defeated by the Ming, and later attacked and defeated by the Oirats.
