Ubushi Genya - Ubushi Genya

...Straddling the Rumoi and Soya subprefectures, most of the area is low, flat plains with an elevation of less than 5m. Regionally, it is divided into the Kami-Sarobetsu Plain, located north of Maruyama (13m) in the Sarobetsu River basin, a tributary of the Teshio River, the Shimo-Sarobetsu Plain, located south of that point, and the Ubushi Plain on the left bank of the downstream Teshio River. Three or four rows of sand dunes run parallel to each other on the coasts of the Kami-Sarobetsu and Shimo-Sarobetsu Plains, and between the dunes are a series of long, narrow lakes and marshes.
