〘Noun〙 Music of the ancient northern Hu country of China. It was introduced to China and became popular after the Han dynasty, through the Northern and Southern Dynasties, and into the Sui and Tang dynasties. ※Warambeso (1660) 3 "The four musical venues of the Tang dynasty are Goryeo (East), Hu music (West), Xin music (South), and Linyi (North). There are four venues on all four sides."
