Kadphises II

King of the Kushan dynasty in ancient India. According to one theory, he reigned between 91 and 130 AD. His birth and death years are unknown. He was also known as Vima Kadphises, and is recorded as Yan Gaozhen in the Book of the Later Han. He succeeded his father, Kadphises I (Kujula), and expanded his territory to northern and central India, calling himself "King of kings, Lord of the whole world." 古代インド，クシャーナ朝の王。在位は一説によると後91‐130年ころ。生没年不詳。ビマ(ウェーマ)･カドフィセースVima Kadphisesの名でも知られ，《後漢書》では閻膏珍と記される。父王カドフィセース1世(クジューラ)のあとを継ぎ，領土を北インド中部にまで広げ，〈王中の王，全世界の主〉と称した。従来の銀貨に替え，純度の高い大型の金貨を発行したことで知られる。【山崎 元一】
