[First step into space]
At the start of the 20th century, a succession of people appeared who recognized the impossibility of space flight using a cannon and came up with feasible methods. In 1903, the Russian KE Tsiolkovsky wrote a paper called "Rockets into Outer Space," in which he argued that rockets were effective for space flight and theoretically proposed a method using liquid propellant instead of the gunpowder rockets that had been used up until then. Meanwhile, in 1909, RH Goddard in the United States began researching rockets, and in 1919 he published a book called "How to Reach the Extremely High Earths," and he himself built and experimented with liquid-fuel rockets.
