...It is believed to have been naturalized in Japan from China. M. macrocarpa Wall., which resembles the common ivy, grows wild in southern Kyushu and Okinawa, and is distributed in China, Southeast Asia, India, and the Himalayas. The flowers are 5.5 to 7 cm long, and some of the petals are gray-green.
