...The folk tale "The Dragon Girl of Lake Dongting" from the inland marshlands of China is very similar to the Urashima-zi tale. The main motif of the famous "Seafood and Mountain Food Exchange Tale" in the Kamiyo-maki of the Kojiki and Nihonshoki is the so-called "Lost Fish Hook" type of tale, which is widely distributed from Indonesia to western Micronesia, and a variant of it is also found among the people of the inland waters of China. These similarities may be related to the migration of peoples in inland China.
