The School of Yu-Gong

…It was first published on March 1, 1934, and was published once every two weeks, until July 1937, when the Second Sino-Japanese War began, when it published its seventh volume and tenth issue. Gu Jiegang of Yenching University and Tan Qijing of Fu Jen University contributed empirical papers to the magazine, and formed the Yu Gong School, which had a great influence on the history of China's geography, historical maps, and gazetteers. It also produced many scholars, including Gu Jieguang, Shi Nianhai, and Nie Chongqi. …
